1995 our original founder joined forces with his two sons and created the first headshop in Sweden. We were tired of how all shops had the same boring products, the limited selection and if a local shop offered something unique the price was much higher than it should be! The thought of smokers missing out on the latest and best technology upset all three of us.

Driven by frustration we opened the doors to our first shop 1995. Thanks to working night and day the team quickly became insiders in the business and we developed relations with the most innovative designers and hi tech manufacturers all over the world. We removed the middlemen and ordered large quantities to receive better offers. This gave us the possibility to sell our products to much lower prices than all other competitors in the area. However, we quickly realized that the demand for unique products could be found far from the inside of the borders of Sweden, so in order to satisfy the demand we decided to dive into the world of online shopping.

Our homepage started in 1997. Initially, the sales were slow but the colleagues worked hard to spread the word and just in a couple of months orders from all over the world started pouring in and completely flood our warehouse. Our project was so successful that we had to trademark the Smoketower brand in 2009, another reason for this was that other actors in the business had been using our name in an unauthorised way, riding on the Smoketower wave with us.
